AWESOME

Reminds me of that old hacking simulator called Uplink.
Nice work dude, I like this one a lot.

KKSlider60 responds:

Thank you very much for your time ^^
Much appreciated,

What game was this in?

Good song, dude, I'm loving these chiptunes :D

9/10 because it feels a little too warm or something to be a "town theme".

KKSlider60 responds:

It's been a good while since I made those tunes... I don't remember what was in my mind when I made this. xD
KKS

Very nice.

Chiptunes aren't usually very emotional. this one is. And it's awesome.

Haha, that was a good one. Hey I don't want to sound monotonous, but thanks, really ;D

Nice!

Instrument choice really sounds like Zelda. I love those games :D

Good work, the mixing is pretty good and, like I said, instruments are great.

Thank you very, very much.

Oh, and thank you to everyone else who has recently left a review on this remix. They have all been positive!

As a matter of fact, since this is one of the most popular songs on Newgrounds, you all have my permission to use this remix for whatever you want. Please. This is yours.

Thanks again!

Very cool.

This would make a really good song to play in a videogame imo. Dunno why, it just seems like it would work.
Like a futuristic Square Enix-type game, lol

I tried it on audio surf and it worked well, if that counts lol. :P

Thanks for the review!

Cool!

I really like this one.
Mixing's superb, which is always a big plus in my book.
The percussion samples are really nice dude, the snare rolls are really a good touch imo.
Bonus points on adding that church bell, no song like this is complete without one, haha

Anyways, this is really great. I can't really think of anything you could improve because it sounds so good already.
I'm really liking your ambient approach, you should definitely explore that genre some more because I love this sound.

Gario responds:

I actually have another rendition of this track that's cleaner & sounds more ambient... but it's being used as a part of a game soundtrack, so I don't want to post it quite yet. So yeah, I made it more ambient already :P

Thanks :)

It's alright.

It's a good start, you need to do a few things to polish it off.
I would suggest turning up the clap a little bit, it seems too quiet.
Adding a pad would definitely give it more atmosphere and make it sound nicer imo, just something kinda quiet in the background.
Also, you might want to turn up the piano (it's a piano, right? lol) in the background slightly.
Like I said earlier, it's a good start, but if you add a few more things and touch a few things up it will really help the song be better.

PS: You asked me about Kong, it's a drum designing plugin for Reason only. [http://tinyurl.com/4sb6upk]

sapphirias responds:

Oh its only for reason? hmm.

Also It was intended to be a remake of the original. There is no atmoshpere or pads in the song. Like I said in the description I will be coming out with a remade version which will be more of a techno remix than jsut a simple remake. Thanks for the review!

Haha, awesome.

Nice work!

Those are some nice drum samples too.

Jakesnke17 responds:

heh, thanks man. Gonna try to do some more remixes later this year. :D

Sons of Liberty is AWESOME.

It has the greatest theme song ever.

AAanyways, I really like this song a lot. The bass is really cool :D

I also like the strings, and I have to say that they do sound a little like MGS.
The little "arcade riffs" that play are a really nice touch.
The only thing I think you could do to make this song better is to make the strings a little louder. Oh yeah, also you could definitely raise the volume of the drums at 1:08. Other than that though, well done! :)

Keep it up dude.

PS: nice tape delay (I think, correct me if I'm mistaken) you have on the cymbal.

Jakesnke17 responds:

Thanks dude...appreciate the kind words.

Yeah, totally, I've always enjoy the MGS soundtracks, always a blast to listen to in or out of the game.

Feel free to check out the rest of the songs, usually I switch the genre every 3-4 songs, trying to constantly throw something new out there. :P

I make house music.
